At the third session on learning how to Orienteer, the pupils tackled the slopes and woodland of Clyne Valley Country Park in Swansea. With new families joining for the first time, all undertook exercises set by coach Steve Quinton. Following a map walk pointing out features and trying to locate them on the map, there was a control hanging exercise, and bearing and pacing practice sessions. Then all took part in three competitive races...with a Junior Course, and two adult courses. The results are here and show really great progess on picking up the skills needed:

The final session is on 27th April and then will by the Summer League events every wednesday through the summer starting on 1st May in Singleton Park.
