SBOC is an open and friendly club, and new members are always welcome.
Some events can be more suited to beginners than others, and we can advise on a good time to come along.
New SBOC members receive FREE SBOC + WOA membership for the first year
i.e. only the British Orienteering fees are payable (senior £15.00 and junior £5.00).
New members also get a free guidebook to orienteering by Carol McNeill

As a British Orienteering member, you will receive:

As a member of WOA (Welsh Orienteering Association), you will be able to:
- be eligible to be selected for the Welsh team to represent Wales in Home International Orienteering Championships against England, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the Junior, Senior or Veteran aged teams
- Compete at Welsh Middle and Long Championships
- Compete and support the Welsh 6 Day Orienteering International Festival (every 4 years) www.croesomultiday.org.uk
- WOA membership fees are included in your membership fee automatically (Senior £3.00, Junior £1.20)
The British Orienteering Federation is the Governing body of Orienteering in UK and oversees the running of the sport. Their website is www.britishorienteering.org.uk .

If you join after 1 November of any year, your membership will last until the end of December the following year.
This annual membership fee also includes membership of the Welsh Orienteering Association (WOA) and British Orienteering. Membership and Renewals are administered by British Orienteering on our behalf.
