Iestyn Evans made it three wins out of three in the third SBOC Night League event at Kenfig Burrows on Saturday. He was the leading SBOC runner and scored 413 points in the allotted 60 minutes, some 63 points ahead of William Arnold, second SBOC runner, with 350 points and then Niall Reynolds the third SBOC runner with 323 points. This was the first time Kenfig Burrows have been used for a night event and the terrain and the courses planned by Ben Mitchell didn't disappoint. In fact, a large entry drawn from Bristol, Cardiff and Gloucester enjoyed the opportunity to pit their skills against the testing terrain. The heavy rainfall over the recent weeks meant that there was much more standing water in the dunes and this added to the challenge. The overall winner of the event was Matt Whipple from Cardiff who amassed the maximum score of 600 points in the allocted time.
